A guide only ... quantities will depend on appetites, your spread, and the serving sizes of your chosen dishes.

Christmas Starters

Christmas Starters

The aim for Christmas lunch should be to enjoy the day as much as everyone else that isn't hosting. These starters are made by our cooks weeks ahead, in small batches, and all you do is finish them at home and carry them out while everyone is still arriving.

Davide's Smoked Mozzarella Arancini are the ones that disappear first, crisp outside, molten and cheesy in the middle, made the way his family has always made them.

Two or three of these with a drink is plenty while people arrive, or plate them properly as canapés if you are doing things that way this year. Move what you need from the freezer to the fridge the night before, and on the day it is a tray in the oven and nothing more.

Either way, you are out there with everyone else rather than in the kitchen on your own.

The Centrepiece

The Centrepiece

If there is one dish that is not negotiable at an Australian Christmas, it is the ham. Last year in 2025 we featured Davide's Blood Orange and Gin Glazed Ham, and it was a hit. It was even featured in Marie Claire and Vogue!

This year we have a different, but equally amazing ham on the menu.

A ham this size serves ten to twelve as part of a spread, it is just as good cold on Boxing Day as warm on the day, and the leftovers are, frankly, the point.

Christmas Mains

Christmas Mains

Whether your Christmas is a long lunch or a late dinner, a roast or a seafood spread, or needs a vegan option, there is a centrepiece here for it.

Most tables do well with one main and plenty of sides. If you are feeding a crowd, two mains from different corners of this list, one roast and one from the sea, gives everyone something they are happy about.

Christmas Sides and Salads

Christmas Sides and Salads

Christmas here is a summer Christmas, which is why the sides matter as much as the main and the salads often matter more.

A good rule is one potato dish, one vegetable and one salad for every main you are serving. Everything can be reheated or served at room temperature, so nothing is competing for the oven at once.

Christmas Desserts

Christmas Desserts

Nobody has ever complained about too much dessert on Christmas Day. Last year we sold out of all of our desserts in a flash. We have more desserts incoming for 2026.

Two desserts is plenty. Three is a statement, and we are not here to talk you out of it.

Christmas Food Delivery FAQs

Simply browse our menu, select your Christmas Menu, then choose your delivery date and time window before checking out.

Final deliveries are Friday 19th December 2026. Christmas delivery slots fill quickly, and the order cut-off for each delivery date is shown at checkout, so the earlier you choose your date the more choice you have.

We deliver across Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Brisbane, Gold Coastand regional areas!

To check if we deliver to you, you can enter your postcode into our delivery checker at the top of the page.

Yes, and we would encourage it. Everything arrives freshly frozen and keeps in your freezer, so you can order now and choose a delivery date closer to the day at checkout. Christmas stock is limited and ordering early is how you make sure the dishes you want are still there.

Sydney metro is next-day delivery, with a two hour window sent by text the evening before. Everywhere else is approximately two to five days, with a text the evening before carrying a tracking link and your two hour window.

As a rough guide, one main, one potato dish, one vegetable and one salad for every six to eight people, plus two desserts. Each product page lists how many it serves. If you are feeding a crowd, two mains from different corners of the menu, one roast and one from the sea, tends to leave everyone happy.

December is the busiest month of the year for couriers, and the month when a delivery is most likely to be delayed by something none of us control. Every dish arrives freshly frozen and keeps in your freezer, so there is no advantage to waiting, which is why we would rather you took delivery in November. The $5 covers the extra cost of delivering in the peak. Choose a November date and it does not apply.

Yes. Every dish is cooked by our cooks and then frozen straight away, which seals in the flavour and means it reaches you exactly as it left their kitchen.

Yes. Last year we had a vegan Wellington built to be a proper centrepiece rather than a plate of sides, and a number of the salads and vegetable dishes are vegetarian. Every product page lists its ingredients and allergens in full, so you can check before you order.

Yes. Because everything is sold individually you can scale to whatever number you are feeding, from eight people to well over a hundred, for a family lunch, an office party or a community event. Order the quantities you need and choose one delivery date for the lot.

Yes, two ways. Send an order directly to their address with a personal message included, or send a FoodSt Gift Card  and let them choose. A gift card has no delivery date to get right, which makes it the easy answer for a long list of people, or for anyone whose Christmas plans you do not know.

Every dish is handmade in small batches by a local home cook following their own family recipe, then freshly frozen. Real people, home cooks from all walks of life, cooking the food they grew up with. You are not getting something assembled on a production line, and you are getting dishes you will not find anywhere else.
