Ryan's Jamaican Jerk Chicken & Cumin Rice

Mouth watering tender chicken is spiced up with a traditional jerk seasoning consisting of scotch bonnet peppers, spring onion, ginger, garlic, thyme and allspice. The chicken is then smoked overnight before being barbecued to perfection. Served with a flavoursome cumin and turmeric rice, take your tastebuds on a Caribbean adventure!

I fell in love with Jerk Chicken when I visited Toronto in 2005. With a large Caribbean population, I was introduced to this spiced up dish and never turned back. Over the years I have tried to perfect many variations to come up with the perfect mix of spice and flavour.

  • 🍴 Serves 1 (2 thighs & rice)

    🌶🌶🌶 This dish is spicy

    Preparation:

    1 - Defrost first

    2 - Remove lid

    3 - Reheat in the microwave for 4-5 mins (or cover with foil and reheat in the oven) Our foil containers are microwave safe!

    😋 Jerk Chicken is best eaten with a flavoured rice (provided), and a yoghurt sauce on the side.

    Ingredients: Chicken thigh fillets, scotch bonnet peppers, garlic peeled, fresh thyme leaves, fresh ginger, green onions, soy sauce, allspice powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, clove powder, kosher salt, olive oil.

    Cumin & Turmeric Rice: basmati rice, water, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, chicken stock cubes, salt, lemon juice

    Contains: Gluten, Soy
