Maurice's Spanakopita (Vg)

A traditional vegetarian Spinach pie. A perfect balance of spinach greens, fresh dill, feta and ricotta mixed with sauteed onions & leek encased in a puff pastry shell.

This is an all time family favourite and is enjoyed all year round. A recipe that has been in our family for generations, we don't really know how far back it goes it has just always been there. The smell wafting through the house as it bakes is such a warm and comforting feeling and smells delicious.

  • Preparation (Cook from frozen):

    Step 1 - Preheat Oven 200°C
    Step 2 - Remove Lid, cover with Foil
    Step 3 - Bake 45mins (Single) to 1h (Family)

    🥗 Traditionally served slightly warmed served with fresh tzatziki 

    Ingredients: Fresh Dill, Silverbeet, Leek, Onion, Baby Spinach, Feta, Ricotta, Eggs, Rice, Puff pastry

    Contains: Milk and Milk Products, Sesame seeds and sesame seed products, Eggs, Cereals containing gluten and their products including wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt

This was fantastic

I really enjoyed this dish. It took a bit longer to cook than what was on the cooking instructions, but was really lovely. Will definately order again.

Just like eating Yia Yia's home baked food

This was the very first dish I had tasted from Foodst and was very impressed. Generous portion size. I squeezed some fresh lemon juice over the top after baking and it was just beautiful. Would definitely order this dish again.
