An old-school Aussie favourite, baked the traditional way
Maurice’s caramel slice is the kind of treat many Australians grew up with – three generous layers that strike the perfect balance of sweet, buttery, and rich. It starts with a thick coconut biscuit base that’s crunchy yet tender, followed by a golden caramel layer made with condensed milk and golden syrup for that chewy-but-not-sticky texture, and finally a glossy dark chocolate top that cracks just right when you bite in.
This isn’t a slim café-style sliver – Maurice’s slices are thick, generous, and satisfying, just like the ones you’d find at school fetes, bakeries, or tucked into a tin at home. Each pack contains two large slices (300g total), perfect for sharing over a cuppa or keeping in the fridge for when a sweet craving hits. Simply defrost overnight and enjoy cold straight from the fridge, or let sit for a few minutes if you prefer a softer bite.

Hi, I'm Maurice!
My love affair with food and cooking started at the tender age of 8. I just loved watching my mother cook for the family, no matter what the dish or meal, sweet or savoury, breakfast lunch or dinner. I realised very early that I loved to identify the different flavours in each dish and what they brought to the dish and what if anything was lacking or overpowering. I remember feeling so proud that all the recipes that my Mother used were her Mothers recipes. I just love that.
