I was a chef and cook in a life before my children and I have always enjoyed cooking and exploring different cuisines. I started making sausage rolls with meals as fillings to get my children to enjoy food as much as I do, and they were a hit with school lunches too. I later found out that they were valuable school currency and one sausage roll would get them three pieces of cake. Ultimately they became such a hit that I started to get requests for parties, school events, and other children's lunch boxes. I love the research and refinement that goes into creating recipes from scratch. I constantly strive to get my flavours perfect using techniques I learned as a chef, on my travels, and in the many cookbooks I collect.

FAQ's

Growing up, I have many fond meals memories. Mum liked putting on the slow cooker a bit, so coming home from school to a warm house smelling of deliciousness was great. If I had friends with me, we'd have to make sure not to pick to much of whatever was cooking before mum came home from work, or we'd hear it! 

My grandmother was also a large influence to me when it came to cooking. Mostly roast meats and perfectly crunchy potatoes, homemade puddings and biscuits like monte carlos.

The sausage rolls are recipes from one of my side business that specialise in gourmet sausage rolls. Originally inspired by a way to get my kids eating more veggies and real food as opposed to the mass produced pastry versions available out there.
