Wholesome vegetarian fritters for any meal of the day
Helen’s corn fritters are one of those dishes that just work anywhere – breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or even as an easy snack. Made with fresh corn that’s partly blended into the batter, these fritters carry a full corn flavour in every bite rather than just scattering kernels through plain dough. The batter is enriched with wholemeal spelt flour and protein-rich besan (chickpea) flour, making them more nourishing and satisfying than standard white-flour fritters.
These fritters have been part of Helen’s family brunches for years and have become a go-to option for parents wanting easy vegetarian meals that kids actually enjoy. Ready in just 15–20 minutes from frozen (or 10 in the air fryer), each pack includes six generous fritters plus a smoky tomato sauce made with plum tomatoes, paprika, chlili flakes, and fresh coriander – a bold accompaniment that turns a simple fritter into a complete meal. Pair with a green salad, serve alongside eggs at breakfast, or use as a base for toppings – Helen’s fritters are as versatile as they are delicious.

Hi I'm Helen,
I'm fascinated with cooking and baking since I was little. My first cooking memories are learning ingredients and flavours with my grandmother, in the South of Brazil. I was very young when I baked my first cake, I loved it so much that I would swap any other activity planned to stay at home baking. All my neighbours were always expecting that delicious treat on the weekends. When it comes to cooking, I follow a simple philosophy of believing all products should have great flavour, great texture and also be beautiful to look at. I love using natural wholefood ingredients and creating delicious recipes that satisfy all our senses and bring people joy.
