Cottage Pie with Cheesy/Sweet Mash

Traditional Cottage Pie made with lean beef mince, kyogle garlic, carrots and peas with a rich tomato and beef sauce flavoured with bay leaves and Italian herbs and a splash of red wine, topped with a cheesy white and sweet potato mash. This is a mixture and my Mums 'Hand Me Down' recipe with my own twist of herbs and a splash of wine to add flavour and a tasty mash topping. Delicious on its own or with salad or crusty French bread to mop up the sauce.

  • Preparation:
    Step 1 - Defrost in fridge overnight
    Step 2 - Preheat Oven 180°C
    Step 3 - Remove lid, cover with foil
    Step 4 - Bake 25mins until golden

    🥗 Best served with a crisp green salad

    Ingredients:

    Minced Beef, Garlic, Carrots, Peas, Beef Stock, Tomato Soup, Italian Herbs, Red wine, Bay Leaf, Worcestershire Sauce, Golden Cream and Sweet Potato, Tasty Cheese.

    Contains:Milk or milk products, Gluten

Amazingly delicious!

I have tried and tried to make a cottage pie as delicious as my Mum used to make and have never been able to get it quite as good. This cottage pie was it! Absolutely delicious and took me back to my childhood!
