A Homemade Version of a Retro Chinese Classic
This is Christina’s take on the nostalgic sweet and sour chicken we all know and love – only fresher, better, and made from scratch. Think tender chicken pieces cooked in her signature tangy-sweet sauce with pineapple and tomato, served with fluffy jasmine rice. It’s comforting, bright, and seriously satisfying.
Unlike the heavy takeaway versions, Christina’s is lighter and more balanced – cooked just as she does for her own family, using real ingredients and no artificial nasties. It's a crowd-pleaser for all ages and a great way to get a proper meal on the table fast, without compromising on flavour or quality.

I was brought up in Malaysia in a Baba Nyonya family. Our cuisine is often known as the Peranakan Nyonya cuisine, which is a fusion of Chinese, Malay, and Indonesian heritage. The Peranakan Nyonya cuisine is about traditional family recipes passed down for generations, along with the stories of the people who cooked them with love and passion.
