Amalia's Hortobágyi (Hungarian Savoury Crepes)

Experience a classic Hungarian dish of Amalia's Hortobágyi, savoury crepes filled with free-range chicken and homemade paprika sauce. Prepared with a sourdough base for optimal gut health, these delicious crepes are a tasty treat that the whole family will love.

I have been eating this dish since I was a kid. My grandmother made it for us when we had chicken paprikash and we had leftover chicken. She was a wizard in the kitchen. She whisked up some cepes and filled it with the chicken and voila, we had a new dish that tasted even better than the original.

Hungarian Savoury Dry Crepes

This was my first experience with Food St. Cooked the crepes as per instructions, in the oven from frozen. I found them dry and with very little sauce and not a lot of taste. I could improve with doctoring the sauce but that wasn't the idea - was buying for an ill son who is in hospital and wanted to bring him in variety. I have some more dishes to try so hopefully they will be better though - the Butter Masala Chicken arrived with the seal broken on the dish which was disappointing. Look forward to trying the other dishes I ordered with a hope of giving shining reviews in the future. However, disappointed in this one. Olivia Q
