Zoie's NYC Italian Meatballs

"I first discovered this dish whilst honeymooning in New York City, and was determined to recreate it here at home. After almost ten years and (much taste testing) it has become a firm favourite amongst our family and friends. Hand rolled pork meatballs, in a slow-cooked tomato based pasta sauce with a hint of fennel and chilli. Truly addictive!"

• Serves 2

  Preparation, open pouch before reheating:

  Step 1 - Defrost in microwave or fridge overnight

  Step 2 - Microwave until hot (approx. 4mins) alternatively place into a pot to reheat on the stove over low heat.

  🍝 Best served with pasta of your choice, ladled over polenta or loaded on a crusty baguette. Sprinkle with a grating of parmesan, and a drizzle of olive oil.

  Ingredients: olive oil, onions, garlic, bay leaves, oregano, fennel seeds, salt, tomato paste, passata, crushed tomatoes, chilli flakes, pork mince, red peppers, breadcrumbs (gluten, milk), eggs.
