Hi, I'm Andre !

Mediterranean & European family recipes with an Asian twist.

For me cooking is a celebration. It reminds me of how rich and lucky we all really are, being able to make foods that others can savour, and make us forget the difficulties in life for a while.

I have had varying careers, from taxi driver to website developer, from gardener to delivery driver, from kitchen-hand to public servant. Jack of all trades, master of none. I helped to raise two fine sons who are now adult with steady careers (yes blessing my lucky stars), and who sometimes shake their heads over their slightly erratic father.

There was always the dream to one day turn my love for cooking into a profession, at least part of the time. I saw an opportunity, especially in these modern times to sell pre-cooked food, but the logistics and costs involved to start up my own business were prohibitive.

FoodSt now offers me that opportunity, with endless support and encouragement, distribution network, packaging, and room to develop and introduce new dishes. I love the model that is used to enable good home cooks become professional. It fits perfectly into this ever-changing world and I think it might become a template for future enterprises.
