Verawaty's Sweet & Spicy Indonesian Tempeh with Rice (V)

This recipe features the classic combination of Tempeh and potatoes, and Verawaty's own homemade white sauce which is the key element in the unique flavour profile of this dish. 

This dish is close to Verawaty's heart and reminds her of home every time she makes it.

Tempeh is fermented soybeans and is a great meat alternative, it's high in protein and calcium as well as a range of beneficial nutrients. Verawaty's dish is mildly spicy and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
