Cynthia's Indonesian Chicken Curry & Rice (Opor Ayam)

"My Indonesian Chicken Curry (Opor Ayam) is a delicious coconut milk based curry incorporating a long list of fragrant herbs and spices such as kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass, galangal, cumin, coriander seeds and bay leaves that you will find popular across a lot of Indonesian dishes".

It is mild and chilli free, making the dish perfect for everyone, and very child friendly. Served with white jasmine rice and garnish with fried shallots.

This is another one of my mother’s family favourite recipes which is perfect on a cold rainy day for dinner as we gather around the dining table. Recreated as an all-in-one meal this dish is perfect to bring on-the-go and reheated for lunch in the office!

  • 🍴 Single Serve - Curry with rice

    Preparation:

    Step 1 - Defrost first in microwave or overnight in your fridge
    Step 2 - Microwave until heated through (approx 2-3 mins)

    Our foil containers are microwave safe!
