Born in Venice, Davide brings the traditions of Italian gelaterias straight to your table. This artisan gelato is handmade from scratch using time-honoured Italian methods and the finest imported ingredients. This Sour Cherry Gelato is crafted with full cream jersey milk and churned slowly for that dense, silky texture, Davide’s gelato is 100% natural, free from shortcuts, and worlds apart from commercial ice cream. Served slightly softer than ice cream, it delivers an intense flavour and luxurious mouthfeel that captures the essence of authentic Italian dessert culture.

FAQ's

Gelato is churned more slowly than ice cream, which means less air and a denser, creamier texture. It’s also served at a slightly warmer temperature, so the flavours come through more intensely. Davide’s gelato uses Jersey full cream milk and more milk than cream, resulting in lower fat but richer flavour compared to standard ice cream.

Keep it in your freezer at -18°C and enjoy within 2–3 weeks for peak flavour and texture. Because it’s free from heavy stabilisers, artisan gelato is best eaten fresh. Take it out of the freezer and let it sit for 5–10 minutes before serving – this brings it to the perfect creamy consistency.

Bright and tangy first, then creamy. Davide folds sour cherries through a yogurt gelato made with full cream Jersey milk, so you get the sharpness of the fruit balanced by the richness of the milk. It's lighter on the palate than a chocolate or nut gelato, which is why it works so well after a big meal.
