Take a trip to Transylvania when you taste Amalia’s delicious Stuffed Cabbage Rolls. Amalia’s Grandma taught her to make this treasured recipe as a child in Transylvania, using meat, rice and spices before rolling and slow cooking them in a thin sauce made with the sauerkraut and some tomatoes.
Each bite packs a punch of timeless Hungarian flavours, rolled up in tradition. Amalia’s secret: her homemade sauerkraut! It’s edible gold for gut health and the superhero of her Cabbage Rolls recipe, adding an element of tanginess.

This dish is so good Amalia’s family typically save it for special occasions like Christmas and Easter (with a dollop of sour cream and some fresh bread to soak up all the sauce) so we’re delighted to bring it to your dinner table for an everyday treat.

🍴 You will get 3 rolls per serve.
Preparation:
Step 1 - Defrost in microwave or fridge overnight
Step 2 - Microwave until hot (approx 3mins) Our foil is microwave safe!
** Alternatively after defrosting, heat in a pot on the cooktop in the sauce until heated through ensuring it doesn't stick to the bottom, so shake the pot time to time. Do not stir as it can break the rolls.
🥖 Best served with a dollop of sour cream and fresh bread to soak up the sauce.
Ingredients: Beef, Chicken, Cabbage, Corn Flour, Dill, Tomato, Tomato paste, Sauerkraut, Arborio rice, Salt, Pepper
Heated nicely. 2 rolls with sour cream and fresh green beans was a perfect main meal for me whilst the third roll was a delicious lunch. You must try.

Cabbage rolls were delicious and very healthy. I just added a tin of tomatoes and a few sauces to extend it a bit plus potatoes and green vegetables. So tasty!

Gave this 5 stars, because it’s hard to find anyone that makes Sarma anywhere! Not as good as my nannas( she’d put smoked meats alongside and garlic) but I prefer it for the nostalgic taste every time!
