Chicken Pasties

These Indonesian chicken pasties are my own family’s take on the traditional Indonesian pastie. A savoury chicken and vegetable filling is encased with white bread, dipped in milk and breadcrumbs, and then fried in rice bran oil. The result is a crunchy yet pillowy exterior which complements the flavourful interior perfectly.  

This is a firm family favourite, particularly amongst the younger generation. It's perfect for a wholesome breakfast, a 3pm pick-me-up, a pre-dinner snack or for any time of day, really. If you love our Dutch Croquettes, you will absolutely love these pasties!

  • 🍴 x4 Pasties per serving (300g)

    Preparation: 
    Step 1 - Defrost overnight
    Step 2 - Preheat Oven 190°C
    Step 3 - Bake 7-10mins

    🎉 Best served as a snack, as part of a mezze platter or with a salad as a light meal.

    Ingredients: BreadMilk, Chicken, Breadcrumbs, Carrots, Rice bran oil, Onions, Green beans, White pepper, Salt, Garlic

    Contains: Milk and Milk Products, Cereals containing gluten and their products including wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt, Garlic, Eggs

Amazing

Absolutely amazing flavour, a definite repeat purchase. Would be a great snack, but 4 made a wonderful lunch.
Did need about twice the recommended time though.
