The prawns Christina's family look forward to every Christmas
Every Christmas, prawns have a special place on Christina's family table. And this is the dish her family looks forward to year after year.
Christina'sgarlic and herb tomato prawns are cooked in a rich, creamy tomato sauce with Spanish onion, capsicum, plenty of garlic and fresh parsley.
There's a little chilli in there too, but just enough to add warmth rather than heat, so it's a dish the whole family can enjoy.
The touch of cream brings everything together, softening the tomato and giving the sauce a lovely richness. And while the prawns are delicious, it's the sauce that really makes this dish something special.
Christina serves it as a starter, with plenty of crusty bread to soak up every last bit. We think Nat's Garlic & Parmesan Ciabatta would be rather perfect alongside it.
It's a wonderful addition to a Christmas seafood spread, but just as lovely for a relaxed summer lunch or an evening when you've got friends coming over and want something generous to share.
And because Christina has already done all the cooking, all you need to do is heat the prawns straight from frozen in the oven until piping hot.
