I grew up eating very stock-standard, Aussie 'meat and 3 veg' meals for dinner. While there was little variety, I was a very healthy child and ate the daily recommended servings of fruit and veges etc. As an athlete, I still find that freshly, seasonal and nutritional daily prepared meals are the best and most important aspect of my meals. When I was a stay-at-home mother for 8 years I enjoyed experimenting with new dishes I sourced from friends or online. Cooking shows always provide inspiration as well. Now I am a mother of 3 teenagers and cook every night of the week for the 5 of us. I am a professionally accredited primary teacher and TA registered tennis coach, who enjoys cooking and entertaining. I love the concept of helping busy individuals or families being able to stay healthy by eating fresh, nutritional meals. For many years I cooked for people in times of need (eg illness in the family or difficult circumstances), so Food St enables me to continue to provide meals for people who don't have the time to cook their own healthy meals.
