Mariana's Pulled Pork Empanadas (x4)

These beautiful empanadas are inspired by a recipe I tried in Mexico when travelling as a child with my family. I marinate the pork, black beans and veggies in orange juice and chipotle adobo. The following morning I bake them for 7 hours until the pork falls apart, simply delicious! All encased in my hand crafted pastry for a delicious twist on the classic empanada.

  • 🍴 4x Empanadas per serving (500g)

    Preparation (Cook from frozen)
    Step 1 - Preheat Oven 220°C fan forced
    Step 2 - Brush the empanadas with egg yolk*
    Step 3 - Bake on a tray with baking paper 10-15mins

    *Pantry Essentials:
    🥚 Optional - Egg yolk to brush on empanadas.

    🌶  This meal has a spice rating of 'mild'
    🥗 Best served with a crisp green salad.
