My handmade Gnocchi only gets better with this authentic Italian Basil Pesto, a recipe with origins in the Italian city of Genova. My first taste of pesto came when my family and I went to see my aunty in Liguria. To prepare the real Pesto Alla Genovese, my aunty brought out the mortar and pestle and began pounding the garlic, basil leaf, pine nuts, and Parmigiano. I'll never forget that fantastic experience, which was both simple and delicious.
Preparation: Step 1 - Defrost in microwave Step 2 - Give it a stir Step 3 - Microwave until heated through (approx 3 mins)
