Sue's Paleo Lamb Biryani

A no grain alternative - This dish is packed with flavour with a delicious blend of spices, lamb, vegetables, dried fruit and nuts. It is started off with Ghee to add dimension to the lamb then once all the ingredients have been added on the stovetop it is finished off in the oven. I altered a recipe I found for Biryani to suit my family as we like to avoid grains. This dish is my sons favourite meal and has been enjoyed by many many guests in our house as well as dozens of customers.

  • Preparation:
    Step 1 - Defrost overnight in your fridge
    Step 2 - Microwave 3mins (Single) to 10mins (Family)

    🍋 Best served with a squeeze of lemon and topped with fresh coriander

    Ingredients: Brown onion, garlic, carrot, cauliflower, ghee, ginger, lamb mince, fennel seeds, fennel powder, cumin seeds, coriander, saffron, turmeric, paprika, pine nuts, pistachios, sultanas, salt.

    Contains: Milk and Milk Products, Tree nuts and tree nut products other than coconut from the fruit of the palm

Yum Yum. Guilt free dinner.

Really yummy. Love the low carb nature of this meal. I served with steamed veggies and some yoghurt on the side. I added salt. Double was a big serving and would easily feed two adults and two kids for dinner.
