Handmade with love, this Indonesian health tonic is actually a traditional medicine. In Bali (and actually throughout Indonesia) you can see street hawkers carrying trays of Jamu in small vials and handing them out to villagers as their daily health tonic. They say it wards off illness and keeps the village healthy (and there might be some truth to that!). Each region has a slightly different flavour, they use different spices and herbs. This Jamu is the original Balinese-style recipe made from fresh turmeric, honey, lime and black pepper. It's absolutely delicious and so, so good for you!!! So instead of jumping on a plane to taste it, let us make it for you!!

In my mind there's nothing better than using seasonal, organic or free range ingredients to create delicious and nutritious food; this is what I strive to do both at home and for others. My food style is mixed, having travelled to many countries and sampling lots of interesting food, I tend to take inspiration from these experiences as a whole rather than pinpoint a specific cuisine, as long as it's tasty and makes you feel good!
