This is my grand father's recipe, these BBQ buns are handmade from scratch. First I marinade pork neck overnight with soy sauce, five spice, red wine, salt, palm sugar and Hoi Xin sauce. Then I grill the pork in the oven until golden brown, remove and let it cool down. Next I stir fry the pork pieces with some onion and garlic and set a side. Then I make the dough, let it rest for one hour then divide into small portions. Finally I wrap the pork in the pastry, let the pastry rise again and then steam until cooked. I make them for my kids and they love them in their lunch boxes? This makes me happy because I believe good food helps with their studies and that's why I keep making this super-special food for them and you now.

Hi, I'm Iris!
I'm originally from Cambodia. My first memory of connecting with food was when I was little and my mum was always busy in her shop, so she left the house work and cooking to me. As the eldest child in the family, I had to learn to cook and did the shopping as guided by mum. I remember I learnt to cook my first curry chicken when I was just 12 years old.
