Portuguese Orange Cake "Bolo de Laranja"

An airy, zesty cake, soaked in syrup and bursting with orange flavour. It’s a traditional Portuguese dessert, nearly always found on the table at a Portuguese gathering. Every Portuguese grandmother has a recipe for bolo de laranja, and this one is based on our own Vovó's (grandmother's) recipe.

  • 🍴 Serves 6

    Preparation:
    Step 1 - Defrost in fridge overnight
    Step 2 - Poke holes in cake with a skewer
    Step 3 - Warm syrup up
    Step 4 - Pour syrup over cake and allow to stand for 5 mins

    Ingredients: Flour, Baking powder, Eggs, Butter, Sugar, Orange juice and zest

    Contains: Milk and Milk Products, Eggs
