Michelle's Slow-Cooked Goulash

This generous meal with tender beef falls apart and is complemented by the deliciously rich and flavoursome sauce that requires the obligatory plate licking at the end. Although this is not a traditional goulash, its certainly a nod to the original with some added extras of carrot and red capsicum. If you haven't had a goulash before, try this one, you won't be disappointed. Once re-heated, swirl though some sour cream or yoghurt and sprinkle with chopped parsley.

  • Preparation:
    Step 1 - Defrost in microwave or fridge overnight
    Step 2 - Microwave until hot (approx 5 mins) 

    🍝 Best served with pasta or creamy mash

    Ingredients:
    Beef, flour, chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, capsicum, carrots, smoked paprika, honey, onions, tomato puree, beef stock, olive oil, salt, pepper.

    Contains: Cereals containing gluten and their products including wheat, rye, barley, oats, spelt

Rich and delicious!

The goulash was hearty, tasty and abundant. We enjoyed eating this very much. Would go very well with crusty bread, rice or mashed potatoes.

A lot like a soup dish

I ate this with a spoon as the sauce is quite thin. As a soup, it was wholesome and the meat was perfectly cooked. Next time I would make some mashed potatoes or a side dish with it. Very yummy.

The flavour and tender meat were perfect. I might add some potatoes to it myself to soak up the gravy when I order it again.
