Asian Beef Stew

Inspired by a dish my grandfather used to make when I wasn't well, this heart-warming stew has slow-braised tender chunks of beef, with carrot and potatoes in a ginger, garlic and onion master stock. Like a warm hug, it will nourish, strengthen and fill you up. I crave this dish often, and I believe that you will too!

I served this with rice (which soaked up the sauce) and stir-fried vegetables and it fed a family of four. Great flavour.

Yummy variation on the classic stew

Really lovely flavour - subtle Asian spice gives a classic stew an interesting twist. Very liquid, so make sure you have rice ready to soak it up
