Sue's Mexican Cottage Pie

This tasty meal is oven baked with a mashed potato top. It has just the right amount of heat to be enjoyed by many. A great hearty meal which pleases all who try it. It's got flavour and just the right amount of spices and heat as not to overpower the flavour. A recent happy customer text me with "OMG that Mexican Pie is the most divine thing EVER!"

  • Preparation (cook from frozen):
    Step 1 - Preheat Oven 180°C
    Step 2 - Remove lid, cover with foil
    Step 3 - Bake 20mins (Single) to 40mins (Family)

    Step 4 - Remove foil for the last 5 mins to brown

    🥗 Best served with crisp salad.

    Ingredients: Onion, garlic, carrot, celery, Fresh Chilli, olive oil, beef mince, tomato paste, taco seasoning, capsicum, kidney beans, jalapeno chilli, sweet corn, tasty cheese, potatoes, salt, black pepper, salt, milk, butter.

Very generous size and fresh ingredients

Generous serving I didnt think I would eat it all, but did as it was just so delicious. Perfect balance of meat and vegetables and without any fatty taste. Very good quality ingredients. You could easily serve this with corn chips, salad or vegetables and no-one would guess it wasn't made fresh that day at home. I'm not a big fan of chilli, but this dish had just the right amount and was not too hot to enjoy.

Just like Mum used to make it, but spicy!

Loved this twist on an old childhood favourite of mine - it’s always nice to spice things up a little! I’ll definitely be ordering again.
