How did you come to love food and cooking?
Growing up in an African home, I was always in the kitchen, helping my mother as it is customary. Zanzibar spices are what sparked my interest in food and my cooking style which is based on Swahili cuisines.
Why do you love cooking? Why is it important to you?
I love cooking because I find it an easy way to share my heritage and make people around me happy. In my free time (as I'm also studying a PhD), I love to share my cooking tips and skills with the people I love.
What was your background before cooking for FoodSt?
I am a full-time PhD student with a passion working in the super industry. In my free time, I love to share my cooking skills with people from different cultures.
