Beef Massaman Curry

A slow cooked beef in mild homemade Massaman Curry paste in creamy coconut milk with potatoes and sweet onion. This is a mild curry. This Massaman dish is my family's recipe that we always cook when we are gathering together. I love cooking this dish for my Sydney friends as it is not too spicy however it is great comfort food.

  • Preparation:

    Step 1 - Defrost in microwave or fridge overnight
    Step 2 - Microwave until hot (about 3mins)

A delicious and subtle massaman curry. It reheated perfectly and the meat was tender. The double portion was suitable for two meals with rice added. I will definitely order again.

Comfort food

Very rich in flavour. The slow-cooked beef was succulent and tender. I would also like more spice added - not necessary chilli but more aromatic spice

A delicious curry

Truly delicious eaten with just some white rice. Comfort food indeed. That said, it was to me a truly delicious tender beef Thai curry, more than a Massamam. I think it perhaps lacked all the spices of an authentic Massamam. I also would like to see the portion to be slightly bigger for this price.
