Important Update about Deliveries

Important Update about Deliveries

August 10, 2019

We’re always on the lookout for ways we can improve our service to you, and in our latest round of customer interviews we heard that many of you would love to be able to order later in the week for weekend items, or have 2 deliveries per week (especially those with smaller freezers).

We heard that it would also be helpful if you could order into the future so you can plan out your weeks ahead - for special occasions (like taking food away to the snow, birthday parties) or just everyday orders.

So… we’re very excited to announce that we have partnered with a new delivery provider, to make this happen!

Here’s what you need to know

Our new delivery days are Wednesday between 6am and 6pm and Friday between 12am and 7am.

Working with a new delivery service has meant we’ve had to make some changes, firstly we have had to adjust our cutoff times, so our new cutoffs for delivery are:

All locations orders must be in by:

Sunday 9:00pm for Wednesday delivery
Tuesday 9:00pm for Friday delivery

We will send a text message with a 2-hour delivery window the night before your delivery (around 8pm). You will be able to click the link in the message and track the driver so you know exactly when your delivery is arriving.

When you order you will now see that you are given a delivery calendar to choose your delivery date. This makes it easier for you to order into the future. Simply select your date and order. If you want to place a future order, select a date into the future.

Lastly, with our new delivery partner we are unfortunately unable to collect the used boxes and wool liners as we have been doing to date.  We do care very much about the waste we produce and have provided some more information about recycling below.

We hope you find the new changes helpful, and encourage you to let us know your feedback on this change and any others!

Regards,

Did you know?

Our delivery packaging is made from recycled wool fiber, so it’s totally eco friendly and recyclable.

Packaging box with logo

The boxes are recyclable through your normal cardboard recycling, the wool is sustainable, recyclable, compostable and biodegradable. The polyethylene wrap is also recyclable. If the Woolcool cannot be re-used as it is, the wool can be recycled and re-used or put to many good uses from lagging pipes to insulating garden plants from the frost or as mulch! To find a recycle centre for the HDPE plastic liners you can click here.

Our packaging is also designed to be able to last up to 12 hours before freezing, however we’ve planned our packaging, routes and delivery times to make sure you can get your food as fast as possible and minimise any risk of defrosting.
